USD Login: Google ID

All students have been issued a unique USD Google ID and password. Their username is their Google ID + @unionsd.org. By logging in to Google Chrome with their USD Google IDs, students have instant access to the Google Apps for Education suite of products, their custom ClassLink launchpad or home page, educational content accessible only to USD students, as well as all of their bookmarks, shortcuts, and apps. If your student is having trouble accessing online content, being logged in to Google Chrome with their USD Google ID is the first thing that should be checked. If your student does not know their USD Google ID, please request tech assistance. When requesting tech assistance, please provide your student's first and last name and that you are requesting your student's USD Google ID username and password.

Students using their district-issued Chromebooks will be logged in to Google Chrome with their USD Google ID automatically upon log in to their device.

To login with your student's USD Google ID on a personal device:

  1. Open the Google Chrome web browser.

  2. In the upper right corner (in line with the web address bar), click on the user profile photo. If the account profile shows your student's name and USD Google ID, they are logged in. If your student's USD Google ID is listed under "Other People", click to select. " If not, select "+ Add", near the bottom of the pop-up.

  3. If adding another account, enter your student's name and select a profile picture. When prompted, select "Already a Chrome user. Sign in.". When prompted, enter the student's unionsd.org email and password.

  4. If prompted, allow the account link and sync features. This will provide access to services provided by USD.

  5. Once your student is logged in, click the Home button. Your student's home page is set to their Symbaloo page, giving them instant access to restricted educational content, bookmarks, shortcuts, and apps.
