Google Classroom
In grades 2nd-8th, class content is delivered via Google Classroom. Teachers can create classes, distribute and collect assignments, and grade and send feedback in one place. Google Classroom is easily accessed from any device using Google Chrome.
If you do not have a "Google Classroom Code," please request the information from your student's classroom teacher.
To join Google Classroom, from Google Chrome:
Log in to your student's Google Account with their USD Google ID in the Google Chrome web browser. If you need assistance with this, please visit USD Logins.
From your student's Symbaloo home page, select "Google Classroom" or navigate to classroom.google.com in the web browser.
Your student's Google Classroom(s) will be listed on the Google Classroom homepage, as well as any new classes that your student has been invited to join.
If your student has been invited to join a new class, select "Join".
If your student has been given a "Join Code" by their teacher, select "Join a Class" by clicking the plus sign "+", in the upper right hand corner.
When prompted, enter the "Class Code" and select "Join".
Your student can now access their Google Classroom(s).

To join Google Classroom, from an Apple or Android device:
Open the app, "Google Classroom".
When prompted, select your student's USD Google account or add your student's USD Google ID.
When prompted, set your notification settings.
Your student's Google Classroom(s) will be listed on the Google Classroom homepage, as well as any new classes that your student has been invited to join.
If your student has been invited to join their new class, select "Join".
If your student has been given a "Join Code" by their teacher, select "Join a Class" by clicking the plus sign "+", in the lower right hand corner.
When prompted, enter the "Class Code" and select "Join" in the upper right corner.
Your student can now access their Google Classroom(s).
Review Teacher Feedback and Classwork
Google Classroom allows for an easy review of teacher feedback and classwork that has been assigned, turned in/graded, and marked missing/late. For a quick parent tutorial, please watch the video below.
For middle school parents, student progress may also be viewed through PowerSchool.
